Starting point
Different ERP environments and reporting approaches made a common view of financial data difficult.
A development project for a US diagnostics group: bring financial information from different entities and systems into a shared application.
One concrete process is enough to get started.
Different ERP environments and reporting approaches made a common view of financial data difficult.
DDC contributed development work; Heinrich Schneider led the technology as project CTO. The work focused on data consolidation and the associated workspace.
Development took place in 2022–2023. Ongoing maintenance passed to the client team. The existing interface illustrates the nature of the task.
From DATEV, Sage, QuickBooks, Comarch and ABRA into one shared data layer: sync per company, a group dashboard and drill-down to the single booking.
The Consolidated Financials view makes the project tangible. The image shows the interface; it is not a measure of business results.
Alongside the consolidated view, the software delivered the finance team’s standard reports, for each entity and for the group.
For each entity and for the group, from the booking data of the connected systems.
All accounts with totals and balances per entity, with drill-down to the booking.
Sales by entity and period, combined for the group.
Euro, US dollar, zloty and koruna are converted into the reporting currency at the applicable rates.
Each company had its own service and a regular sync with its accounting system, including Sage environments in Germany and the US, Comarch in Poland and ABRA in the Czech Republic; DATEV exports were imported as well. The status page shows availability over 24 hours and one week.
The task began with financial information from different entities and ERP environments.
Development connected the consolidation of data with a shared workspace.
Following development in 2022–2023, the client team took over ongoing maintenance.
